Stush in the Bush was a necessity for me, staying home in Kingston during the Easter weekend lockdown. I was looking forward to it, I made plans for it, I scheduled it and most importantly, they helped me create a Culinary Experience for Hubby and I to enjoy at Home.

💖 Stush in the Bush FRITTERS with Ackee & Saltfish: Sweet Potato Cakes w/ vegan parmesan & fresh herbs 👌ðŸ¾I made my Ackee peppery for balance.
💖 Stush in the Bush customized spelt, gluten-free EASTER BUN & VEGAN ALMOND RICOTTA (Spelt & Gluten free flour mix. No Guinness, but molasses. No processed sugar, but agave & maple syrup; No mixed peel/fruits, but solely raisins)
👌ðŸ¾Perfection. I did not have the urge to taste 1 slice of HTB Easter Bun. Believe. Not too sweet. Moist, but not heavy. Well balanced and quite a tasty pairing with the Almond Ricotta.
💖 Stush in the Bush PIZZA: Kale Pesto, Vegetarian/Vegan Cheddar, Ricotta, Carrot lox, Olives, Capers, Arugula, Dill 👌ðŸ¾I forgot to ask for a less Vegan Cheddar, but it was still absolutely delicious and guilt-free. No dairy overload and no sinus migraines!

I enjoyed going to the The Commissary by Devon House and using Simo’s Bread and Catering’s Cherry Tomato Salsa to top off my loaded baked Potato Wedges and Chicken franks (meat optional) also topped off with black beans and corn. Great for a light Lunch.
Then I had a little extra left and used it top off my Sunday Dinner! Hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed Simo’s Bread and Catering’s Vegan Pesto with my Grilled Chicken & whole grain Linguine Pasta, also topped off with a dash of low-fat, low calorie (20 cal.!) grated Parmesan Cheese.

I enjoyed the Chickpea & Turkey Breast Salad, loaded with Turkey breast, Chickpeas, lettuce, tomato, bell peppers, onions and sesame seeds. I didn’t request a dressing, but a vinaigrette is available.
I then satisfied my sweet tooth the healthy way by ordering PRESS’s Chia Pudding (Chia seeds, almond milk, agave, vanilla extract and my topping of choice, blueberries). You can definitely try making any of these at home, but it’s worth the convenience at PRESS.
Even though PRESS is central on Ardenne Road (inside Ardenne Emirates), they deliver now too! Look out for their Vegan menu coming soon & have a Healthy day!

Did you know sometimes when you feel hungry, you are actually just thirsty? Hydration is important. Drink some water and give your body 10 to 15 minutes, sometimes longer, to get the message to your brain.
Drinking 8 8-ounce glasses/2L/ half a gallon of water per day is ideal.
