Suga’s Breakdown:
Pimentos, the new spot for Soups, Salads and Sandwiches is quickly growing to be a trendy favourite for foodies and persons in search of healthy good options. Suga can see why. Pimentos is nestled in the courtyard of Devon House across from the Bakery.
Its comfortable outdoor seating is amongst natural greenery that provides a cool, cosy atmosphere on a hot, sunny day.
The Staff was welcoming and ordering was hassle-free. The menu was easy to read and even though there was variety, the categories of items available were straight forward.
Pimentos is surely keeping up to the time. After ordering, I was surprised and impressed to see that I got a timer, so I could feel free to stroll in the grounds of Devon House and return to pick up my order at the sound of the beep. They didn’t give you for a long wait either.
The cost of Soup ranges from $500 – $850JMD; Salads $750-$1380JMD; Sandwiches $990-$1950JMD and Hamburgers $1290-$1480JMD. A range of cheeses, spices, sauces, veggies and meats are integrated into the menu items to offer quite a variety. I overheard a diner next to me rave about how much she enjoyed her Salad. They offer large bowls that look filling too.
I appreciated the consistency of my Chicken Pumpkin soup. It wasn’t too thin and it wasn’t too thick. It was just right, pleasurable and filling. My husband, Randy had the Seafood Chowder that was delish!
My Smoked Marlin sandwich was flavourful, especially with the Pepper Jelly spread. The Hamburgers are cooked fresh, so Randy was able to tell them how he wanted it. His Swiss Mushroom Hamburger arrived cooked to order with mouth-watering, melted Swiss Cheese.
Pimentos is #SugaEndorsed and I may try the Pimentos Cheese Steak that has tender cuts of seasoned choice Beef, topped with a blend of Provolone and Monterey Jack Cheese with roasted onions, peppers and Pimento Aioli for $1390JMD when I return.

TGIF to this Seafood Cheese Tortellini! Last Saturday I indulged in a creamy, cheesy Seafood Pasta from Ribbiz Ocean Lounge. The Lobster that topped it all off was a bit cold, but other than that, it was quite scrumptious and enjoyable. I wish I could say the same about the limited parking options and intolerable service. My experience was unreviewable. I will not be returning to that location, but the Seafood Cheese Tortellini is on the menu at Ribbiz Ultra Lounge in Loshusan Centre, Barbican! Go get it there!

The Jamaica Cosmetic Dental Society (JCDS) is conducting a clothing drive for charity this January!
They invite you to donate old, lightly worn or new clothing for a worthy cause. As we exit the holiday season most of us may have replaced items in our wardrobe and would like to give them away.
JCDS has designated their office as a collection point for any items of clothing you would like to donate. At the end of the month, they will deliver the items to a charitable organisation hand- picked by their team.
Kudos to JCDS for knowing the importance of giving back and serving their community outside of providing Dental Services.

Tamarind Continental, Saffron and Tamarind Indian all fall under the same umbrella, however Tamarind Continental’s menu offers cuisines other than Indian as its name suggests.
If you are dining at Tamarind Indian, you have the luxury of ordering from Tamarand Continental that is 2 doors away and vice versa. I wanted a healthy dish with a light sauce, so I ordered from the Tamarand Continental menu, while my husband ordered from the Tamarind Indian menu.
The Staff were courteous and attentive. Service was within reasonable time and we enjoyed our meals. I had the Cilantro lime Chicken, which was quite tasty.
I was pleased to see that Tamarind Cuisine continues to serve dinner with a high standard and I look forward to returning. Tamarind cuisine is suited for family outings, dinner dates and business meetings. #SugaEndorsed
