Mystic Thai, the restaurant with the Best Ethnic cuisine in Jamaica located in Montego Bay, came to Kingston again last Friday with Suga’s Birthday Gift!

Owner, Mrs. Kareena Mahbubani who usually has such a warm and regal presence in the Restaurant makes me feel at home whenever I visit and mentioned she feels happy when I am happy. Kareena believes in and delivers consistently high quality customer service, sees value in her customers and I truly felt honoured and appreciated. Thanks Kareena! #SugaSnaps

Hubby, Randy and I thoroughly enjoyed two dishes that we wouldn’t readily select fron the menu. It just shows that everything is good! With a mixture of Asian and Thai cuisine, Mystic Thai has quite a diverse menu.

Panang Fish Curry Thai.

We had Panang Fish Curry Thai, where the Panang curry is thick and peanut based, giving the Fish a unique, rich, authentic flavour.

Dal Tadka (Lentil)

We also had Dal Tadka (Lentil) from their Indian menu. It was fantastic! Full of flavour. We enjoyed both dishes with Jasmine rice and my favourite side, Garlic naan.

The Sugar Mill Restaurant by Half Moon, Montego Bay has the perfect ambience for Valentine’s Day Dinner. I am not sure if they have any special menu for the day, but if you go, be sure to ask for your local rate and enjoy.

It is the best restaurant in Jamaica and guaranteed value for money.

The Blue Window Restaurant has quite an eye-catching menu and they aim to please with added entertainment. Even their Island Jerk Chicken Salad looks good. But how do you choose between that and the Spicy Curry Shrimp with whipped saltfish?! Make sure you order both and feed each other. I would also definitely have their Surf & Turf.

4. Chive Restaurant

One of my faves, Chive restaurant is offering a 4-Course Valentine’s menu for Friday AND Saturday. Their menu looks fantastic, especially that chive style Bouillabaise! Be sure to make your reservations, as seating is limited.

5. Cellar 8 Wine Bar

Cellar 8 is offering a glass of Prosecco with dinner and their dishes are usually delicious. The C8 Seafood Thermidor looks like the winner to me.

Suga Taster, Taraja’s Breakdown!

Christopher’s at Hermosa’a Cove was the perfect Sunday evening setting. Tucked away on the beautiful beachfront property at Hermosa Cove, the restaurant overlooks the sea for a casual, yet intimate dining experience.

The menu was diverse with a sample of Jamaica’s unique fusion of European, Asian, and Indian flavours with local favorites, braised Oxtail, steamed Callaloo with Scotch bonnet peppers, and of course, jerked Chicken. However, Executive Chef Conroy Arnold decided to tantalize our taste buds with a selection of some of his signature dishes for a unique culinary experience. Our Chef’s special dishes consisted of six courses totalling $7000JMD each and included Red Peas soup, a delicious Salad with tomato, feta cheese and arugula topped off with a honey mustard vinaigrette. We also had a Shrimp alfredo puff pastry, Mahi-Mahi in eggplant sauce, Beef tenderloin with grilled sweet corn and for dessert we had Crème brûlée and a Banana flambé.

There were no delays during the courses, however it was a quiet night, which allowed for personalized, attentive treatment. Chef Arnold did an excellent job showcasing his talent and the group was extremely satisfied and pleased with the service.
