Savoury ($2800JMD)
There are many options, but just a few stand out for Suga based on reputation, service, previous experiences including RW experiences, their RW Menu, usual serving sizes and value for money.
> Kingston
The Palms at C&C South Beach and Tamarind Indian Cuisine.
Menu stand outs for C&C South Beach are their Smoked Salmon Salad Appetizer, Washington Palms Pork Chop and Seafood Thermidor main courses. Their options for Dessert should please everyone. Keep in mind that South Beach usually has large serving sizes.
Menu stand outs for Tamarind Indian Cuisine include the Non Veg Platter, which is a combination of assorted chicken tikka, sweet chilli shrimps and sliced Szechuan fried fish, as well as the Green Thai Curry with your choice of chicken, fish or shrimp accompanied by Naan bread/rice and Tiramisu for dessert.
I still haven’t made it out to Rib Kage at The Serengeti Bistro, Hope Zoo, but I have gotten good reviews. It could be safe to take a chance on them.
> Montego Bay
The new Hard Rock Cafe and the oldie but goodie, Pelican Grill are the best choices hands down.
> Ocho Rios
Evita’s Italian Restaurant is usually good and fairly new kids on the block, Great Escape Restaurant at Runaway Bay have been doing well. I had a good time at Great Escape for RW last year and their menu has not really changed Definitely value for money.

Kaluga Cafe should please RW diners.

Dragon Court Restaurant has been consistently good over the years.

MVP Smokehouse has a decent menu to explore.

Smoked Marlin has delicious food and an inviting menu with value for money, but I question their ability to provide good service with a RW crowd. Good risk to take though. I suggest you go with fun company.

It’s Lobster season alright and Suga indulged in Toscanini’s salivating, flavourful Lobster Thermidor three Fridays ago.
Note that their vegetables are farm to table and the seafood is freshly caught. Owner, Lella Ricci usually has first pick on the Lobster!
For my Kingstonians, take a drive out to Toscanini Italian for Lunch or Dinner. It’s only an hour away now and definitely worth the trip and the price!

Steam Fish (Small) – $1000 incl. tax; Side of Bammy – $200 incl. tax
We had the Seafood Soup ($350JMD incl. tax) as a starter and ordered a Steamed Fish and Oxtail. Service was satisfactory. It was obvious the Steamed Fish wasn’t the ‘Catch of the Day’ and it could use more pepper and seasoning. The Oxtail on the other hand was quite tasty.
Oxtail – $1150JMD incl. tax
Prices were very reasonable. I loved that they had a wide range of Beverages including a variety of Margaritas, Martinis, Shots, Cocktails and Frozen Drinks ranging grom $399-$999JMD incl. tax.
Simple spot to grab some tasty food and drinks that are reasonably priced. Hoping to try the Chinese and Indian Cuisines some time soon but indoors next time.

Gabby from Suga Lifestyle at the entrance of Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records (Ocho Rios)
Suga visited the new Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records in Ocho Rios about 2 weeks ago for drinks. The pleasant female bartender served up some tasty cocktails that were creepers. They did warn you on the menu not to drink them too fast!
I’ve heard the food is good. I could see persons got decent servings and our service was good.
There is also live band entertainment on Friday nights.
The negative? The location. A landmark Restaurant and Bar like this should be at a more attractive location, easier and safer to access by tourists and locals. So I doubt this franchise will do well.
