For my Birthday Weekend on June 10 this year, we took the perfect escape to the Blue Mountains in Irish Town, Jamaica.
A dog-friendly escape with wifi, but no Tv or Radio, nestled up in Red Light District on Hopewell Road. It’s one of my favourite Jamaican gems, Raf Jam Bed and Breakfast (Ig: @rafjambnb).

Be greeted with the sweet, local hospitality of Suzi and her staff, then the calming sounds of the waterfalls and birds chirping with other sweet sounds of nature, surrounded by fresh air.
We had a cosy cabin for our stay and freshly made food for Breakfast and Lunch, as we ventured off for Dinner. You’ll never see Fritters so Big! Delicious Jamaican style food that you can have by the riverside or their newly built deck. You can count on a new development everytime you visit.
Raf Jam Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place for a short, getaway stay or adventure and even group retreats. They now offer all inclusive packages.

Many thanks to all of you who came out, supported, shopped and sent their best wishes to 20 selected local businesses yesterday at Suga Lifestyle’s Emancipation Pop-Up at The Liguanea Club Yesterday.
We had a grand time celebrating our Emancipendence, sipping Chocolate Tea in Enamel Mugs and munching on Gizzadas and Police Buttons from Suga Lifestyle and Uncle Nehe’s Bush Alternatives. We cooled down with Popsicles from Asili Food Ltd., Iced Tea from Up to the Tea, Cocktails and more Popsicles from Lady Bee Mixology, then refueled with wholesome Jamaican style dishes from Cafe Jabu, topped off by Desserts from Sweet Obsession.
Patrons spent hours at the event. A repeat Suga Lifestyle Events Patron, Dorothy Russell-Clarke, who came with her daughter and two friends who always support as well, said, “They came, they saw, they shopped and they conquered.”
When we thought we couldn’t have asked for anyting more, we got a visit from the Mayor of Kingston, Senator Councillor Delroy Williams who shopped GW Art, Puzzles by SG and many other vendors.
We are extremely thankful for a successful day and we appreciate and love you all.
