Valentines, Randy and Gabby Burgess, Directors of Suga Lifestyle dining at Trio Wine Bar & Grill last Sunday
Suga was treated to V-Day Dinner at Trio Wine Bar and Grill (Ig; @triowinebar64) on Hope Road by Hubby last Sunday, early at about 5pm.
It is recommended to dine early or pre-celebrate occasions to avoid crowds or long waits at restaurants. So take note Gents.
We enjoyed ðŸ·Pepper Pumpkin Soup ðŸ·Trio’s Signature Wings ðŸ·Yardie Bruschetta ðŸ·Surf and Turf Trio ðŸ·Mussels in a Garlic & White Wine Broth
Our waitress, Shaniqua was fantastic! Courteous, knowledgeable, attentive and professional. Thanks Randy and Trio! 🥂

An Experience tailored to have you enjoy it each time in a different way, an enhanced way, a more appreciative way. I do miss the mix and mingle buffet style introduction with freshly made Cocktails, Chimichurri sauce and chips and much more. With Covid or taking precaution versus the weather, we sit at our designated tables and bask in the real, positive, loving, sexy energy, that is Chris, Lisa and their staff in front of their newly renovated open kitchen.
Have you met Romyah (Ig: @romyahj) ?! Such a bright, young, wild and free spirit. Check her for your Wine Pairings. Loveeee the more active roll she is taking in the experience, introducing her own course and items on the menu. She introduces Pumpkin and greens like a Surf and Turf.
For those who keep asking, Yes, expect sustainable, luxury Vegetarianism. So of course you’ll be satisfied. Do you go on a long tour or experience in the late afternoon and skip Breakfast? No. Just don’t have a heavy one. Their most adorable dogs are part of the family that have the courtesy not to come around you while you eat, but will walk by your side or nearby as you tour the farm.
I enjoyed every course, where new items are always included for returning visitors and according to the season as well. This epicurean getaway is as Farm to Table as it gets.
Their Plantain Chips and Chimichurri, NYC style Fyah Grilled Pizzas and Nola Beignets are usually pleasurable, signature staples.
I am so happy that I experienced my most recent visit with my high school girlfriends mid January. Jody Dixon (Ig: @ajamaicanjo) descibed it as ‘beautiful storytelling nourished with orgasmically, gastronomical eats’.
If you aren’t traveling during Covid, travel through food with Lisa and Chris at Stush in the Bush. When are you going?! Without a doubt, continuously #SugaEndorsed.

Have you been to the fairly new Coppers Jamaica Restaurant (Ig: @thecoppersja) on Haining Road?
It was the last stop for hubby, Randy’s Restaurant Hopping Birthday Weekend. We couldn’t get a reservation for the Saturday, so we went for Lunch on Monday, December 6th. You have to call ahead early for this spot Suga Bears.
Owner, Heather is back, but what we knew as Heather’s had to be revamped into what seemed to be a long time vision, Coppers. Well executed. You have casual and formal dining options, outdoors and indoors respectively.
Our waitress was courteous & attentive throughout our stay.
They scored a fantastic Chef, Ramesh, who used to be at Cellar 8 in their early days. IYKYK. So the food was of course, spectactular.
Chef Ramesh’s seasoning and flavours are in a class by itself. I enjoyed the juicy Japanese Sticky Pork with Soya Ginger Greens & Basmati rice, while Randy fulfilled his Burger craving. If you have one, go for it! A Two Patty Smash Burger stuffed with crispy onion rings, served with seasoned fries.

Hubby and I made an overdue visit to Cellar 8 a little over 2 weekends ago on a Saturday afternoon.
Happy to see the buzz return and the quality of food being excellent Cellar 8. Reservations are definately recommended.
Kudos to their new Executive Chef, David Wellington.
The crunchy texture of our Cauliflower florets enhanced by the flavour of the spiced orange curry sauce it was glazed with, was just right.

The C8 Mac ‘n’ Cheese is a must have! The mouth-watering pic speaks for itself.

Randy enjoyed his creamy Seafood Pasta with Shrimp, Salmon and Calamari tossed in a light cream sauce served on roasted garlic linguini. We appreciate when creamy sauces are indeed light.

I had the Honey Garlic Salmon, which was perfection. That honey garlic sauce definitely puts a different, but good spin on the taste.

Service was excellent and Bartender, Kedoo’s Mojito and Peach Bellini with Bubbly & Rum were on point!

Sometimes it takes a few months before you get the urge to take the 4-hour drive to Negril, but when you do, it’s so worth it!
First stop, Pelican Lookout restaurant and bar by West End, Negril.
It was overcast upon arrival, but then the sun came out and you know Negril heat hits differently, so go in the evening or night when the vibes and temperature are right.
Very attentive staff, big up Rohan and most of all, the Chef! Food ‘propa’.
A variety of Octopus dishes were on the menu, but looks like we just missed the season. We have to return to try those!
There were still great options for Seafood, Pastas, Burgers and Beverages. We opted for traditional Jamaican Conch Fritters, Oxtail and Curried Goat. They all hit the spot. Di Oxtail tender tender and slide off the bone. Well seasoned and wicked flavours.

Last Saturday, with no weddings, someone to watch the kids and complete or postponed errands, us girls finally made time for Lunch, Vino & Cocktails! Can you relate? If not, it’s totally worth it.
Balance is key Suga Bears and thankfully, the recently Award-Winning Game Changer Restaurant Broken Plate did not disappoint.
They don’t facilitate reservations, but it’s somewhat understandable in these times when a party may not show up and not give notice. We were seated quickly enough and our waitress was polite and attentive.
Loved the modern, simple yet tasteful decor.
The Restaurant was full to capacity, but comfortable and they still managed to send out our Appetizers, Beverages and Mains in good time.
We enjoyed Calamari, Duck Breast Bruschetta, the Smoked Marlin Salad, Grilled Salmon and BBQ Spare Ribs. The girls took their Dessert to-go.
I asked for my Bruschetta to be lightly toasted and it was honoured, arriving with tasty, tender Duck Breast. I also switched out the creamy sauce for my Salmon with grilled pineapple & corn salsa. You can enjoy healthier choices when you’re out too!
A Restaurant for the young, old & in-between. It took me a while to visit, but I definitely prefer the changes made and this new location. Broken Plate is now #SugaEndorsed

That’s right! The Bread Pudding Factory is out in Linstead baking Bread, called BABKA!
Babka is a sweet, braided bread or cake popular in Jewish communities and The Bread Pudding Factory has brought it to Jamaica, baking it to perfection, more like Bread in its texture. The flavours are balanced and not too sweet, such as the pictured Blueberry & Cream Cheese, as well as Chocolate & Cinnamon.
Mi love dem you si! Stepping outside the box. Jamaica Nice. Order up and sweet up yuself and family for the lockdown.
Of course their assorted Bread Puddings are available too. Suga will help you to work it off next week! I promise 😊💖

Suga thoroughly enjoyed the endless variety of Cuisines, Restaurant and Bar options available at Excellence Oyster Bay with Excellent Service to go with it.
Great for Coping with Covid and I’ll say it again, the Best and most affordable Adult Only All-Inclusive in Jamaica right now.
Watch “Culinary Excellence at Excellence Oyster Bay in Trelawny, Jamaica!” on YouTube here:
Excellence Oyster Bay has two Club members only Restaurants, Magna & Zenith, that offer the finest of dining and selections for Breakfast and Dinner.
Check out that Marinated Red Tuna Steak (medium) in the opening of the video! Perfection. Their Coconut Cheesecake was an understandable fave too.
Suga enjoyed Breakfast at Magna with a spectacular view, gourmet cheeses and breads that rolled up on a cart along with the richest Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee.
I didn’t even get the chance to touch the Buffet! By the looks of it when passing by, it looked impressive as well.
Most Restaurants offered Breakfast and Lunch and their were countless Dinner options that I have to return to try, such as the Chez Isabelle (French), The Grill (Steakhouse) and Caribbean Grove.
Don’t even get me talking about their Spa! Hydrotherapy and more. Other than a hiccup at Check-In, which they made up for… Excellence! Can’t wait to return. 👌🾠#SugaEndorsed
