Not sure why us Girls keep taking so long to return to Broken Plate (Ig: @brokenplateja), but Suga is definitely heading back there soon.

We made reservations last Sunday for 11:15AM (Although Suga got there closer to Noon :)).
I joined my ladies when they were finishing their Appetizers…Calamari, no surprise there.

I had given them my order already, so it would arrive with theirs. I was thankful for the healthy options that Broken Plate continue to provide. Fulljoyed My stacked plate of Octopus Avocado Toast made with Coconut Avocado Bread as the base. It was so moist and wholesome! The Short Rib and Steak and Egg Sandwiches didn’t look filling, but the Southern Chicken & Waffle was another winner.

Did you see that Matcha Cake?! Yum!

It was an unusual day for The Bartender to be on his own, but our drinks arrived in adequate time and thankfully we left just as Brunch became Buzzier closer to 2pm. I only ask that light music be played in the background.

The staff was attentive throughout, kept us updated on our orders and we had a great afternoon catching up with each other, leaving satisfied.

A New Brunch menu is offered each week. Love that. RSVP ONLY.

Although there is a Biopic now out on Bob Marley, it is such an experience to visit where he lived, see how they preserved his house, what happened there, its furnishings and some of his belongings.

Have you done the Bob Marley Museum Tour?  I would do it twice. The food is good at the Cafe too. Get yourself some Molasses and lively up yourself.

Cheers from Treasure Beach Inn! What are you doing for the rest of Summer?!

Summer marks the 1 year Anniversary that Hurricane Beryl destroyed this beautiful villa. I was excited and happy to visit upon its reopening the end of May earlier this year for the Calabash Festival.

Who makes last minute plans to attend Calabash and stay over for the weekend? Suga does! Because I can find gems like Treasure Beach Inn (Ig: @treasurebeachinn). Owner, Ernie Muirhead quickly accommodated me, sending menus and ensured I was comfortable throughout my stay.

Saphia cooked up a storm from morning to night for the weekend, with traditional Jamaican spicy Callaloo, Cook up Saltfish, Stew Peas to tie me so I return, good ol’ fried Chicken and Curried Lobster.

The rebuild was still in progress, but complete for the most part. I enjoyed the breezy Bar you can dine or drink, chill and chat for hours by, clean Room and Kitchen with modern, yet rustic beachside furnishings.

Demanding a Pool would be a lot after such a big rebuild, but the Beach is close by!

Happy Independence Day Jamaica, with Love from Raf Jam Bed and Breakfast!

For my Birthday Weekend on June 10 this year, we took the perfect escape to the Blue Mountains in Irish Town, Jamaica.

A dog-friendly escape with wifi, but no Tv or Radio, nestled up in Red Light District on Hopewell Road. It’s one of my favourite Jamaican gems, Raf Jam Bed and Breakfast (Ig: @rafjambnb).

Be greeted with the sweet, local hospitality of Suzi and her staff, then the calming sounds of the waterfalls and birds chirping with other sweet sounds of nature, surrounded by fresh air.

We had a cosy cabin for our stay and freshly made food for Breakfast and Lunch, as we ventured off for Dinner.
You’ll never see Fritters so Big! Delicious Jamaican style food that you can have by the riverside or their newly built deck.
You can count on a new development everytime you visit.
