Suga Lifestyle will be hosting Tailored Jamaican at The Jamaica Pegasus by the Ballroom on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10AM – 7PM with a Fashion Show at 3PM!

In October 2021, the premiere of Tailored Jamaican was held at The Jamaica Pegasus to great success. Hosted on the same, popular, island wide shopping weekend, we empowered local artisans with the opportunity to showcase and sell their products under one roof. Last year, celebrity guest Cedric the Entertainer made a special appearance to watch the fashion show and shop Jamaican.

In alignment with the Corporate fit theme this year, Tailored Jamaican will have local, talented designers engage human resource, marketing teams AND the Day-to-Day Entrepreneur through an upbeat runway showcase event. This event should inspire the future of corporate wear, facilitate immediate orders, and build a foundation for long-term business relationships.

With your support, the standard and variety of local corporate wear will be elevated, sharing what Brand Jamaica has to offer, and impacting our creative industry. All while being exposed to the Suga Lifestyle curated experience with beverages, tasty bites and shopping.

This year, we have an exciting, bold vision for corporate wear aligned with key trends accelerated by the COVID pandemic, chief among them being the growing flexibility to work from home, the office, and even in between the office and corporate mixers with versatile wear. Our new reality presents a golden opportunity to re-imagine corporate wear, but it has also blurred the lines between fashion forward corporate and professional faux pas.

Tailored Jamaican stands at this important cross section for companies deciding on the future of corporate wear for their people. Our event will highlight fashion from a thoughtful selection of artisans, showcasing handcrafted, handmade, and locally designed items unique to their own craft. 

For five years, Suga Lifestyle has been dedicated to promoting talented local entrepreneurs and MSMEs, including our own GW ART brand, and bridging the gap between MSMEs poised for growth and wider market opportunities. We achieve this through pop-up events and expos. In October 2021, we held our premiere of Tailored Jamaican at The Jamaica Pegasus to great success. This year’s Fashion Show will feature talented designers seeking opportunities to expand their footprint in the market, to create and display fashion-forward corporate wear that demonstrates their skill and keen sense of style. Designs from their fall collection will also hit the runway.

Many thanks to all of you who came out, supported, shopped and sent their best wishes to 20 selected local businesses yesterday at Suga Lifestyle’s Emancipation Pop-Up at The Liguanea Club Yesterday.

We had a grand time celebrating our Emancipendence, sipping Chocolate Tea in Enamel Mugs and munching on Gizzadas and Police Buttons from Suga Lifestyle and Uncle Nehe’s Bush Alternatives. We cooled down with Popsicles from Asili Food Ltd., Iced Tea from Up to the Tea, Cocktails and more Popsicles from Lady Bee Mixology, then refueled with wholesome Jamaican style dishes from Cafe Jabu, topped off by Desserts from Sweet Obsession.

Patrons spent hours at the event. A repeat Suga Lifestyle Events Patron, Dorothy Russell-Clarke, who came with her daughter and two friends who always support as well, said, “They came, they saw, they shopped and they conquered.”

When we thought we couldn’t have asked for anyting more, we got a visit from the Mayor of Kingston, Senator Councillor Delroy Williams who shopped GW Art, Puzzles by SG and many other vendors.

We are extremely thankful for a successful day and we appreciate and love you all.
