Suga’s Comments:
Trotters Cafe is located at Park Place also known as the Golf Academy by The Liguanea Club, adjacent to the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel.
As you enter you are greeted by brightly coloured umbrellas similar to the umbrellas of Calle Angosto in Cartagena, Colombia. Definitely a décor win and a great marketing strategy for the current era that maximizes on Photo ops for Instagram and other social media platforms.
Seating is in open air by wooden tables with the most adorable Cacti centre pieces.
The Staff is extremely courteous and attentive.
I loved that their menu is posted on their Instagram page, so I knew what I was going to order before I got there and I didn’t have to handle the menu.
They serve Coffee Beverages, Smoothies, Traditional Eggs, Pancakes, Waffles, Omelettes, Bagel Sandwiches, Croissants, Paninis, Crepes, Wraps, Pastries and more.
They have options for Lunch too such as Soup, Salad, their Signature Burger and Pizza.
Trotter Passport with a serving of Eggs, Bacon and Pancakes with homemade Blueberry topping ($1050JMD +tx & 10% gratuity).
I had the Trotter Passport with a serving of Eggs, Bacon and Pancakes with homemade Blueberry topping ($1050JMD +tx & 10% gratuity).
My husband, Randy had the Smoked Salmon Omelette ($950JMD +tx & 10% gratuity).
Presentation was excellent with a more than satisfactory serving size and most importantly, Breakfast tasted great! Eggs my way, over easy and fluffy pancakes. The service could have been a little quicker with us alone there, but I saw and appreciated that everything was hot and freshly made.
Randy had 100% Blue Mountain Coffee ($400JMD) and I enjoyed my French Vanilla Frappe ($600JMD).
Their Dessert counter is also quite eye-catching. I was full, Randy had their Bailey’s Cheesecake that sas decent.
We were offered a complimentary glass of wine. It was 10am but Why not?! They have other alcoholic options too.

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION from the details to the core! I made a special request to hubby that I wanted a pretty Birthday Cake that tasted good too and he did well!
It was ‘REAL RICH 👏’ My Cake was filled with the new Pure Chocolate Company’s 70% Dark Chocolate – Coffee flavour and Almonds. The few friends that I had celebrate with me raved about it and by the end of the night we were only left with 1 slice! #SugaSnaps #SugaEndorsed

Suga Taster’s Breakdown!
This Suga Taster is always looking for new places nearby her place of residence to dine. Little Hen Breakfast and Eatery opened seven to eight months ago and from the looks of it, business was doing well.
The restaurant, although small in size, is quite quaint in appearance with its farm-style decor. The party of four arrived separately and did not have to wait to be seated. Kudos to the efficient
hostess.
Their server, Augustine came over quickly, introduced himself and gave them a rundown of the menu, including the restaurant faves. The food arrived no more than ten to fifteen minutes after ordering and everything was delightful.
Bourbon Batter French Toast with caramelized apples, fresh strawberries, blueberries and blackberries (USD$12)
Carbonara Omelette with breakfast potatoes and whole wheat toast.
Buttermilk Original Pancakes that was served with warm maple syrup (USD$10).
Little Hen Rancheros served with tomato-chili sauce and sliced avocados on a warm corn tortilla (USD$12).
Being content from beginning to end,
there were no complaints about the server, the service, nor the quality of the food.
What could they do better? My Suga Taster suggested that a sign be placed outside the eatery so that patrons could find the restaurant easily. The server informed her that the permit was recently acquired and that the sign should be up sooner than later!
Suga can’t wait to visit Little Hen for Breakfast or Brunch on her next visit to Florida. I mean, check out this Macha Bowl!

The 2nd annual Blue Mountain Coffee Festival starts today! Blue Mountain Coffee has the reputation of being one of the most expensive and sought-after coffees in the world over the past few decades.
This event hopes to attract tourists and international coffee buyers, as well as create awareness of the rapidly growing coffee culture amongst us as local consumers.
Friday, March 1st – Trade Day
The Festival kicks off today with a networking and learning experience for farmers allowing them to showcase their coffee and coffee byproducts.
Saturday, March 2nd – Festival Marketplace
Last year’s view from Newcastle at the 1st staging of the Marketplace at the Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee Festival

There will be coffee galore, coffee byproducts and live demos if you are a barista at home, as well as live musical entertainment and crafts on showcase from local artisans. You would also learn about coffee related tours.
Festival Marketplace Ticket costs: $1500 (Adults); $500 (Children 2-12 years and students with ID)
***Complimentary round trip Shuttle Services will be provided from UTECH Library Car Park to Newcastle starting at 9am***
If you would like to make a weekend of it, there are activities on Sunday too!
Sunday, March 3 – The Culinary Trail (Reservation Only)
There will be a Coffee-themed Brunch at Strawberry Hill and other eateries along the Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee Trail should have a signature Blue Mountain Coffee infused dish on their menu that day.
Enjoy!

Starbucks has opened its 2nd location in Jamaica! In addition to the Montego Bay branch, there is now a bigger, more spacious one in Liguanea Plaza, Kingston. It opened on Monday, June 25th.
Suga is all for Brand Jamaica, but I am happy for another Coffee shop option in Kingston. They use Jamaican Coffee in some of their brews and I can vouch that the Montego Bay location attends to my requests to make my Coffee healthier without charging me extra for almond or skimmed milk or making it look like rocket science.
The opening of Starbucks Kingston should hopefully let Cafe Blue Sovereign brush up on their poor customer service, as they are right down the road from them now.
Suga is looking foward to her Starbucks Kingston visit!
