Kerryanne Croft of the Vitamin M box says trying to fit in is boring, create the change you want to see.
What’s the Vitamin M box?
Based in New Jersey, Kerryanne saw a lack of support and love for Black owned businesses. She wanted to change that, so The Vitamin M Subscription Box was born. M is for Melanin, the dark brown to black pigment occurring in our skin.
Vitamin M isn’t just a subscription box. It is a movement to not only support these substantial businesses, but to help build their communities and share their stories. The Vitamin M box delivers brands in the form of beauty, fashion, books, home and lifestyle produced by people of colour to your doorstep.
Every 3rd month, Kerryanne donates 10% of the proceeds to a charity/non-profit in the Black and Brown community.
Kerry believes we need to continue to highlight these entrepreneurs over businesses that don’t see or respect their shine.
GW Art is a part of the Vitamin M box for December and the boxes are sold out!

The ruins left of a family’s home in Jamaica after a fire destroyed it recently.
Last Tuesday, October 16 was World Food Day and Rotary had a goal to collect 2 tonnes of food.
The Rotaract Club of May Pen partnered with the Rotaract Club of Ibicarai, Brazil (@rotaractibi) and donated food items, weighing ~28kg to a mother and her 5 children who recently lost their home and possessions to a fire.
They also donated clothing to the family and stationery for the children.
The family was grateful for the donations. Kudos to the Rotaract Clubs of May Pen and Ibicarai to help a family get a start after tragedy.

The Rotary Club of Ocho Rios East is a Non-Profit Organization that serves in their Communities and offers various Benefits to their members, just as other Rotary Clubs. The Rotary Club of Ocho Rios East is a part of Rotary International, in particular, Rotary District 7020 with clubs from Jamaica and other Caribbean islands.
Members of the Rotary Club of Ocho Rios East happily donate a well needed Water Tank to the St. Ann Infirmary in March 2018.
Earlier this year in March, Rotary Ocho Rios East donated a Water Tank to the St. Ann Infirmary. They also found time in the same month to Plant 18 Trees, representing each of their members in the Blue Mountains area.
While the Blue Mountains area has a lot of vegetation, it is also a World Heritage Site. They chose that area to plant the trees because they saw it as an opportunity to contribute to its maintenance and of course preservation of the environment.
