Clothing Drive this January in Kingston!

20190107_141945

The Jamaica Cosmetic Dental Society (JCDS) is conducting a clothing drive for charity this January!

They invite you to donate old, lightly worn or new clothing for a worthy cause. As we exit the holiday season most of us may have replaced items in our wardrobe and would like to give them away.

JCDS has designated their office as a collection point for any items of clothing you would like to donate. At the end of the month, they will deliver the items to a charitable organisation hand- picked by their team.

Kudos to JCDS for knowing the importance of giving back and serving their community outside of providing Dental Services.

Please Donate!

Drop off location: Suite #28 Ardenne Emirates, 7-9 Ardenne Road. Kingston 10.

Merry Christmas from Suga Lifestyle!

PhotoGrid_1545688731506

Suga would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and all the best for the season!

It has been a great year for Suga Lifestyle and I have to tell you all a Big Thank You for staying tuned to all the categories that build the Suga Lifestyle brand; GW Art, Charities, Restaurant Reviews and Ratings, Brand Jamaica, Sports, Health and Fitness and more.

I am also very proud to report that the 1st staging of my Trade show, Suga Lifestyle’s Christmas Connection held at The Liguanea Club on Saturday, December 15th was a success. The event involved artisans hand-picked by me to offer their unique, handcrafted, handmade, Jamaican items to the public.

TCP’s Jamaican greeting cards were also in the building as a convenience for shoppers to get cards to go with their gifts.

With Suga Lifestyle’s Christmas Connection, there was no need to shop for gifts online. The event gave sponsors and guests the opportunity to support Brand Jamaica, specifically entrepreneurs who operate within the
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector. Through their support, Jamaican made products and the
island’s creative industries, were highlighted. Vendor industries included; food, graphic art, woodcraft, ceramics, fashion, agro-processing and personal care. My Suga Artisans were hand-picked to inspire innovation, and to provide a platform for business growth.

For those who missed out on Suga’s Winter Wonderland or for Suga Bears and Suga Daddies who would like to relive the moment, here are some highlights from the day.

Guests entering the venue were greeted by some of the Sponsors, Gustazos, Sagicor Bank and Jablum. Gustazos along with Suga Lifestyle offered some Selfie photo fun, while Jablum treated guests to freshly brewed, hot Coffee and Sagicor Bank offered Scones from Cannonball Cafe to complement the Coffee.

My contented guests then felt the Christmas spirit and not only felt lucky by participating in the entry raffle, but contributed to Charity and received a few swag bags to accompany them inside.

It warmed everyone’s hearts to see Suga Artisan, Averell French’s son win a sling backpack from Tracy Jackson Blake’s Because It Is For You and tell everyone why he liked Christmas.

Charity

Members of the non-profit organization, Rotaract Club of New Kingston assisted Suga Lifestyle on the day of the event and happily received a donation from Suga at the end of the event towards their Marie Atkins Shelter Project to be held on January 12, 2019.

GW Art is in the Vitamin M December box in the USA!

vitaminmbox.jpg

Kerryanne Croft of the Vitamin M box says trying to fit in is boring, create the change you want to see.

What’s the Vitamin M box?

Based in New Jersey, Kerryanne saw a lack of support and love for Black owned businesses. She wanted to change that, so The Vitamin M Subscription Box was born. M is for Melanin, the dark brown to black pigment occurring in our skin.

Vitamin M isn’t just a subscription box. It is a movement to not only support these substantial businesses, but to help build their communities and share their stories. The Vitamin M box delivers brands in the form of beauty, fashion, books, home and lifestyle produced by people of colour to your doorstep.

Every 3rd month, Kerryanne donates 10% of the proceeds to a charity/non-profit in the Black and Brown community.

Kerry believes we need to continue to highlight these entrepreneurs over businesses that don’t see or respect their shine.

GW Art is a part of the Vitamin M box for December and the boxes are sold out!

St. Andrew Rotary makes new addition to Curlin Johnson Basic School

20181112_035305.jpg

The St. Andrew Rotary Club donated two white boards to a classroom at Curlin Johnson Basic School at 1 Saunders Avenue, Kingston about two weeks ago. They were well received.

However small, projects like these have a huge impact on the recipients and these projects inspire others to make an impact and change as well.

Kudos to the St. Andrew Rotary Club for their charitable services. Our Children are our Future.
