Yesterday was Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee Day, but I don’t think most of us knew about it!

Calling on JAMPRO, our participating locations/brands to get us to #SiptheGreatest, embrace Brand Jamaica and have a productive 2022! Whether it is Coffee Roasters Jamaica (Ig:@coffeeroastersjamaica), Moy Hall Estate Coffee (Ig:@moyhallcoffee), 24 Seven Café at The Jamaica Pegasus, Ragamuffin Café, Rituals Coffee House, Stoneleigh Coffee (Ig:  @stoneleigh.coffee), Cafe Blue (Ig: @cafeblueja) or Jablum Coffee (Ig: @jablumcoffee), you name it!

We started our morning with JABLUM GOLD, then later in the afternoon after 4pm, why not have another cup?!

Most locations closed by then, but not Café Blue, Constant Spring. Thanks for my Mochaccino with Almond milk!

Happy Monday and Back to Work!

I will admit, that’s not Apple juice. It’s Scotch on the rocks. I think it is ok to bring a little vacay or holiday spirit back to work. Let’s be real, some of us think it’s 2020 all over again and need a strong one. Let’s try not to think that way though.

Of course numbers will sky rocket for January. Try to ignore it. We just concluded the biggest holiday of each year with lots of travelers. Continue to wear your mask and sanitize. Arrange to get your booster if you haven’t yet and remember that we can’t put our lives on hold until 2025 or however long this will last. You will be left behind. Notice I haven’t mentioned what ‘this’ is. We are moving forward.

For those of you like me with a never ending ‘To Do’ List. Let’s not obsess over it. As you check things off, more things will naturally replace them. Get to it when you can. Be confident you are doing your best.

Oh and I really hope they keep the kids in school. Cheers to Monday and have a great, productive week! 🥂

Arepa House is one of the new restaurants in town.

Suga stopped by with friend and Suga Taster, Taraja Jackson two Saturdays ago.

We didn’t have the classic Arepas, but we enjoyed our Chicken and Beef Bowls with their variety of Ad-ons + fresh Lemonade.
Tasty and filling. Venezuelan with a Jamaican twist👍🏽

The food is not comparable, but with Pita Grill gone, I think Arepa House fills the fast food – pick up spot void for Breakfast and Lunch in the Liguanea area.

Filling, tasty & healthy all at the same time. Get your Pre-Christmas burn on. The Holidays are fast approaching and I’m sure we will celebrate whether we can afford to or not.

Last Sunday at Fromage Brasserie
in the The Market Place, I had the Grilled Salmon with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies.

I ditched the creamy sauce and requested a lemon sauce on the side. I didn’t get that, but the crusted almond topping was good enough for me.

We had a fantastic stay at The Cliff Hotel by West End, Negril last weekend.

Even though it’s not an all inclusive, their current rate is definitely value for money. Seize the opportunity before it goes back up!

The food and presentation from their Zest Restaurant was consistently excellent.

Manager, Vernon was on site everyday, quite hospitable and accommodating along with his staff.

The property was clean. Views were breathtaking. Parking was adequate, which is hard to find in Negril. Wifi was decent. The room was huge and the Smart Tv was great. Just 1 complaint…only water came in the fridge. We would appreciate 2 Red Stripes next time 😎🍻
