We visited 9JaJam African Restaurant (Ig: @9jajam) last Saturday. It is an African Restaurant nestled in the corner of Bhavela Business Park in Ironshore, Montego Bay.
They have a digital menu that is easy to choose from. Ensure they understand that you would like your food plated, even if dining :/ and prepare for a little wait. We didn’t mind since we weren’t starving and we love freshly prepared food.
I enjoyed the African Fried Ricewith theirGrilled Suya Chicken and I also tried the Jollof Spagetti with Grilled Suya Chicken, before I bagged it to-go.
I believe, the tasty flavour of their herbs and a touch of spice that complemented my dishes is their signature.
Hubby, Randy’s dish on the other hand was very spicy yet delicious, Eforiro Soup, with a side of Fufu to cool it down. He was given water to wash his hands before having it too. Nice touch.
Spicy, Tasty, Filling Food! Check out 9JaJam African Restaurant !

Breakfast at Trotter’s Cafe (Ig: @trotterscafeja) is still good.
We had the Trotter Passport with fluffy Waffles, Eggs my way and Bacon + a tasty Smoked Salmon Omelette with Iced Coffee (added Almond milk only) for me and Black Coffee for Hubby.
Service time could be a bit quicker, but staff were attentive and the ambience is pretty chill while you wait.
Go check them out or revisit if you haven’t been in a while like us. Parking is adequate.

Tasty, High QualiTEAS from Mimimo Bakery (Ig:@ mimimo_ja) located in Progressive Shopping Center, Barbican serving you Boba, Milk, Thai Teas and more.
Of course, my fave is the Matcha Milk Tea with Boba.
You can add your own toppings + add one of their yummy Desserts that move fast! I really wanted to try the Matcha Swiss Roll, but didn’t mind settling for the Mocha Cream Cheese Cake that was delish too.
What is Bubble Tea or BOBA anyway?! Tapioca starch a.k.a cassava starch or tapioca pearls. Small spheres are often simmered in a brown sugar syrup to give them a sweet taste and dark black color.
Still waiting on Mimimo to get Almond or Oat Milk and it would be awesome for them to get the VisuEats App to see what all these Teas look like! Go check them out.

Which Restaurant would you like to see with a proper Digital Picture menu?
I would like to see a few of my faves, Koi Sushi (Ig: @koisushija), Orchid Thai Restaurant (Ig: @orchidthaijamaica) and Nirvanna Global (Ig: @nirvannaglobalja) with one.
Waiting it out a little, but does the new Buzo Jamaica(Ig: @buzo.jamaica) have one?
Visueats is revolutionising the dining experience led by two phenomenal women in tech, Sophronia McKenzie and Tanesha Westcarr.
With Instagram, TikTok and more, we’ve been eating with our eyes. By seeing the dishes before they come out of the kitchen, Visueats allows us to choose what we want to eat without spying on plates passing by. Appetise with your eyes from the Menu first!
You could also get a headstart from home with the Visueats app. I encourage Restaurants to get with it and sign up!
