Merrrry Christmas Suga Fam!

It has been a busy season for Suga Lifestyle, executing the Christmas Connection series and new Weekly Wednesday Night Shopping Experience, B A S E at Janga’s Sound Bar and Grill with success. Suga Lifestyle connected you to over 60 selected local businesses in the Creative Industry and by extension our Agricultural and Cultural Industries; assisting artisans with recovery, uplifting communities in the interest of rebuilding, all while serving as your favourite 1-stop Christmas Shop.

Scores of patrons eagerly attended the flagship staging at The Jamaica Pegasus on December 6 and 7. They experienced an eclectic mix of Award-Winning, innovative, enthusiastic Artisans, topped off by unforgettable samples of AU Trading’s authentic ‘Grandma style’ Sorrel Liqueur and more, CrEATe & Co.’s Scotch Bonnet Sauce on sausages and Nations Choice succulent Ham and the best Coffee beyond compare, JABLUM Coffee.

Title Sponsor, Manpower & Maintenance Services Sales and Distribution Ltd. had many patrons happily leaving with their cleaning product bundle packages that were on Special.

First timer, Likkle Bliss Ltd. stunned patrons with her signature Cinnamon rolls and was sold out. Roar I Organics brought in from Gutters, St. Elizabeth had the opportunity to introduce his natural green juices, teas, tonics and cleansers. He returned to Suga Lifestyle’s New B A S E at Janga’s two weeks later and anticipates many returns to Suga Lifestyle’s events in the new year.

The family-friendly event had kids playing in the snow with Santa on the Terrace in a Kids Interactive Village by Bear Tingz Jamaica.

We were happy to see the Terrace full of activity and were especially grateful for all who donated to the Toy Drive by the Kids Village and for all who came out to Yoga for Charity, which was filled to capacity. Proceeds from the flagship staging at The Jamaica Pegasus, in addition to the Holiday Rush Edition, sponsored by The Liguanea Club, allowed Suga Lifestyle to add 6 major project donations to ongoing relief efforts since the passing of Hurricane Melissa. As persons affected in the West seek shelter, many have found their way to Kingston, doubling the number of residents in particular at The Marie Atkins Night Shelter in Downtown, Kingston.

Approaching almost 100 residents at each facility, Marie Atkins, The Golden Age Homes in Denham Town and Cluster F in Vineyard Town were treated with food and beverages, toiletries, clothing and medical supplies, also aided by The Prudential Foundation, National Bakery and Ayrtons Distributors Ltd. Hundreds of Snacks by National Bakery were sent to Min. Floyd Green’s collection point at The Summit for Relief Items going to St. Elizabeth as well as to The Belmont Academy in Westmoreland with The Rotary Club of Downtown, Kingston. Toys will go to the Mervis Braham Childcare Facility in St. James and Pringles Home in St. Mary, for the kids to look forward to enjoying this Christmas.

Still have Items to Check Off Your List?
We would like to also proudly announce that Suga Lifestyle Curated TVJ’s On Set One Stop Christmas Market on Weekend Smile, Saturday, December 20 featuring Tavy’s Tag Dat, Naturalista Dreams Cosmetics Ja, La Tige and Chloe’s House of Plants.

TGIF! Brunch at Broken Plate Continues to be #SugaEndorsed

Not sure why us Girls keep taking so long to return to Broken Plate (Ig: @brokenplateja), but Suga is definitely heading back there soon.

Watch highlights here!

https://www.instagram.com/p/DP6GkOFDXO4/?igsh=aWhkOXhrYnJkeTVs

We made reservations last Sunday for 11:15AM (Although Suga got there closer to Noon :)).
I joined my ladies when they were finishing their Appetizers…Calamari, no surprise there.

I had given them my order already, so it would arrive with theirs. I was thankful for the healthy options that Broken Plate continue to provide. Fulljoyed My stacked plate of Octopus Avocado Toast made with Coconut Avocado Bread as the base. It was so moist and wholesome! The Short Rib and Steak and Egg Sandwiches didn’t look filling, but the Southern Chicken & Waffle was another winner.

Did you see that Matcha Cake?! Yum!

It was an unusual day for The Bartender to be on his own, but our drinks arrived in adequate time and thankfully we left just as Brunch became Buzzier closer to 2pm. I only ask that light music be played in the background.

The staff was attentive throughout, kept us updated on our orders and we had a great afternoon catching up with each other, leaving satisfied.

A New Brunch menu is offered each week. Love that. RSVP ONLY.

When last have you gone on a date, gone for brunch, lunch or dinner at Broken Plate? Make your Reservations and get to it!

Last Wednesday #TeamSuga Took a Break to Celebrate 9 Years!

We enjoyed Authentic Thai Cuisine at Orchid Thai in Orchid Village, Liguanea (Ig: @orchidthaijamaica) and its outdoor ambience for our Anniversary!

Watch highlights with our dishes here!

Asian menus are often extensive and you may not know what to order. Your menu choices can have a huge impact on your experience, but try Suga’s recommendations and you should enjoy it!

> Money Bags Golden Sachets
> Pad Kee Mao Drunken Noodle
OR Orchid Thai Pad Thai with Beef
> Chili Chicken and Eggplant Stir Fry
I was sooo happy a surprise Tiramisu came out for our occasion, but their House made Dessert is always a Winner°

Our server Kashmarie was pleasant and attentive.

***Reservations Recommended and Dining by 8pm latest is encouraged for smooth, quick and efficient service***

The Perfect Start to Spring with Venezuelan Cuisine at EITS Cafe, Irish Town!

#fbf to Last Sunday to Brunch & Beats at EITS Cafe in Irish Town, Kingston (Ig: @17milepost)!

This staging of Brunch & Beats featured authentic Venezuelan Cuisine by Chef Ines and upbeat Venezuelan music by Sherkhan.

Watch Suga’s Highlights here!

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DHwZXx5SWiY/?igsh=b2IzeXZ4cndqa3ky

The Menu kept signature dishes of EITS as options such as the Barrel Roasted Chicken, Curry Goat and their Ackee & Callaloo with fried Sweet Plantain made a Specialty Arepa! They did notttt disappoint, although I prefer my Curry Goat to be spicier.

The shredded Beef Specialty Arepa was wholesome and amazing!

We enjoyed all courses from start to finish, even if there were waits between, actually necessary to make room for more! I felt like I could have been happily rolled off the hill afterwards.

The Quesilla (Venezuelan Flan) was similar in taste to a Panna Cotta and the hints of Jamaican Rum in the sauce was delish.

A refreshing day in spring and a perfect reset for the week ahead.

*Reservations Recommended* They are closed this weekend for Light Renovations.
